| Canon with a great attitude (and a signature scarf)! |
As I looked back on my last post "...Praying more earnestly," I found that this month earnest prayer was (and is) needed! God
once again, brings me to a place of dependence on Him and reminds me
through my own penned words, to pray earnestly! This past month, Canon
had noticed a fast growing growth on his head and we were concerned
after being referred from the dermatologist to an oncologist that it
could possibly be a cancerous growth. We were happy to find out yesterday, after
waiting for results and having surgery to remove the growth (and an additional
growth that was found during surgery), that they were benign. We are
praising the Lord for His answer to prayer in this! We are still
concerned about a bit of infection that has occurred in the growth that
was burned off and we will see the oncologist again next week. Canon
has been handling it very well, but he is very ready to get back to
"normal." The stitches still need to be removed and the wound has to be
treated twice a day. Please pray the infection will diminish.

| Discipleship Conference |
OTHER HAPPENINGS THIS MONTH!
- We were so happy to be a part of student ministry by opening up our home to students for fun and games. Last week, the ministry leader talked about the "masks that people wear." These students come to Friday fellowships and Sunday night Bible studies. Many are unbelievers, but are responding and growing towards a believing faith! Please pray that they will continue to come and be drawn to our Savior! We have joined in this ministry by hosting once a month.
- Maya was able to participate in another campus ministry where she spoke to a group of English students about English camps and opportunities to hear the message of Truth. We continue to partner with them as they work on campuses in Kiev. Please pray for the young future of Ukraine-that they will be a people led by God!
- Kyle has a group of 3 non-believers that he has been working with for about 3 weeks. He plans to continue in sharing the Seven Stories of Hope. Pray that they will come to faith.
- He is also talking with a group of believers just outside of Kiev about on-going discipleship in cooperation with local group of churches. Kyle and other team members recently held a discipleship conference for about 30 people in a city 2 1/2 hours from Kiev. They are looking towards hosting another conference in the near future. Pray that HE will make disciples.
- Maya is still homeschooling Eli and Anna Katharine through the summer, as they finish up their late-started school year (due to the move). They will be ready for the new school year at Kiev Christian Academy in the fall with their brothers. Maya hopes to continue to be a part of their learning there through part-time volunteering in some capacity. Please pray for guidance in where and how she can be used in ministering in this Christian school that has been such a blessing to us!
- Our family continues to make new relationships with nationals in our neighborhood. We had been having guests from our apartment over for fellowship on Wednesdays, but the past two weeks were consumed with the end of the school year studies and Canon's numerous doctor appointments. We hope to continue in growing relationships that will be seeds planted in good soil! Please pray for HIS leadership in these relationships.

The end of April, Eli celebrated his 8th birthday!
Mom was showered on Mother's Day with sweet sentiments from her family and they made her "favorite" breakfast before going to afternoon church!
