Happy New Year!

We had a great time in Tiblisi, Georgia with our friends. They have been serving there for 3 years and we could see a wonderful ministry growing. They invited us to attend an all night prayer service on Christmas Eve. It was quite interesting having 11 kids (2 babies!) ride with us about 1 1/2 hours to Gori (where Kyle did most of his disaster relief work) at 8:30 pm! The meeting didn't start until late and after we had sang, given our testimonies and visited we got home around 2 am~! Santa came the next day, we had a big Christmas brunch and later that evening a beautiful Christmas meal (our hosts went above and beyond)! The couple we stayed with had invited some guests over to eat, sing carols and...well, it was just great! Later in the week, we were able to go to the Botanical Gardens, a playplace for the kids and just hang out together. The kids were able to put on two plays...a Star Wars play and a fairytale! It was great fun!

It was also a real blessing to see how the church in Gori is growing...over 300 people were at this church service! Before we left, there was a man that insisted on talking to B. (the guy we were staying with) and he repented right then and there! He said he did not want to wait, but wanted to make his decision to follow Christ right then! Also, the guests that were invited to Christmas dinner were American girls who work for the Embassy. They didn't have any family to spend Christmas with and it was such a joy to have them celebrate with us...What a blessed Christmas it was!! We could not be thankful enough to have been able to spend that time in Georgia with our friends!!
