All year long, I do not find my children nearly as consumed with the hopes of Santa nor the thoughts of Christmas cookies. Desperate faith waiting in hope of the holiday season does not fill their hearts...until the time comes close.
Do I have faith like these little children (Matt.18:3)? Faith in the hopes of the Christ of Christmas? A faith that is always on my mind throughout the year...throughout the day....throughout the holidays. An anticipation of the coming of a Savior, not in a manger but in all His glory?!!
For in this hope we are saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently, eagerly...(Romans 8)
It's a time of joyful anticipation, excitement and giddy celebrations!! A time of overwhelming amazement, preparations being made...awaiting a Savior who is Christ our KING!
May you have a renewed hope in Christ this year!
